Frequently Asked Questions

Passwords are here! As of March 2023, passwords have been added to your library catalog account as an added level of security to protect your privacy. The first time you log in to the catalog, you will be prompted to reset your default password to a password of your choice. We encourage all library patrons to select a password or passphrase that consists of upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols.

This Impacts:

• CCU physical books
• Overdrive resources
• Requesting items through Prospector
• DVDs and CDs
• Ebooks through Libby

Does Not Impact:

• CCU Brightspace passwords
• CCU Connect passwords
• Database passwords such as EBSCO, ProQuest, Gale, etc.

*Note: Prospector asks for your Personal Identification Number but this is still your new Library Account Password.

To change your CCU Library password follow these steps

1. Go to the library account page.

2. Click "Reset My Password."

3. Type in your CCU ID number and click "Reset My Password."

4. Follow the instructions in the email to set up your new Library Catalog Password! The email will be sent to your official CCU email account.
