The American Foundation for the Blind provides a list of screen readers. Below are also some free options that you can install or download into your internet browser.

Apple VoiceOver: VoiceOver is an industry‑leading screen reader for Apple devices that tells you exactly what’s happening on your device.

Google Chrome Extension: This extension specifically works within the Chrome browser to read content aloud. It is a basic system provided Google.

NVDA: A free screen reader for Windows through the NV Access nonprofit. 

Thunder: Thunder is a free screen reader for blind people on Microsoft Windows

WebAnywhere: A free web-based screen reader that requires no special software to be installed and can therefore be accessed from any computer with a sound card.
