Library Policies

Alumni:

• Alumni can set up an Alumni account; use your previous student ID or we can assign you a new number.  This is for physical book check outs.
• Alumni can check out up to five items at a time.
• Alumni can access our databases & electronic resources from within the library only (we will log on for you; just ask at the Circulation desk).
• Please ask us about placing holds through Prospector if you have an account with another library in Prospector.

Visiting Patron Checkout:

• Aurora, Jeffco, and other local library patrons may check out books 9and more than one) on campus using their home library card.
• Prospector library patrons can find CCU Library books in the Prospector catalog, request it, and have it sent to your local public library.

Community Borrowers:

• If you are a local library patron. be sure to read "Visiting Patron Checkout" as that's the easiest way to borrow CCU Library books.
• Community Borrowers can check out one item at a time ("Visiting Patrons", above, can check out more items). 
• If computers are available, you are welcome to use one. Please ask at the circulation desk and we will log you in. 
• Community Borrowers can access our databases & electronic resources from within the library.
• Community Borrowers are not allowed to place items on hold in our catalog.  Please ask us about placing holds through Prospector if you have an account with another library in Prospector.

Visitors and alumni can access all resources, both print and E resources, when in the library (on-site). Visitors will be logged in by library staff for eBooks and database access.

CloudSource is a database that is available for anyone!

Off campus access of the electronic resources, per our licenses with vendors, is only available to the currently-enrolled students, faculty, and staff.  This access requires a CCU Login credential that must formally be setup through the Registrar and Technology Support.
