Checkouts are generally for 3 weeks with 2 renewals; Prospector items are 3 weeks with 1 renewal
*CCU patrons and visitors have access to all print and online library resources while in the physical CCU library (visitors please see library staff). We can only provide remote access to currently-enrolled students, faculty, and staff per our licensing agreements with database vendors.
You can place holds on CCU or Prospectoritems through the library catalog and pick them up at the Check Out Desk. Email notices are sent out the following morning or, if you want to receive notices as soon as your item is ready, sign up for text message notifications. Colorado CAGS students outside of Lakewood can use Prospector to request CCU and other books using their local library patron account to have them sent to your local library to pick up there! This is a tremendous service.
Items that you've requested from other libraries using your CCU account arrive within 2-7 days. You receive an email or text notice when it is ready to be picked up (at the Main Campus).
CCU Library and Prospector items stay on the hold shelf for 8 days.
Community Borrowers and CCU alums are not allowed to place items on hold in our catalog. Please ask us about placing holds through Prospector if you have an account with another library in Prospector.
