The Library is Moving!

Questions and Resources While the Library is in Transition

Questions about the Move

Why did the library move?

The library is temporarily moving while the Armstrong Center is built. The Armstrong Center will house a brand new library space where Fowler Library is currently standing. Thus, we have to move to make room for the new building.

Where is the library located?

The library is located in the George Whitefield Center (GWC) on the main Lakewood campus.

Is the library be open to visitors?

Yes, the library is open for faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Our hours during the summer are Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 4:30 pm.

Where are the books stored and can I still check them out?

The majority of our books are stored off-site but can be accessed by placing a hold on them. Library staff will retrieve the books and have them ready for pickup in the GWC within 24 hours. If you find a book you want in the catalog, click the  button, sign in, and add the hold.

Can I still get Prospector and Mobius items?

Yes, you can continue to request Prospector and Mobius items. These will be available for pick up in the GWC.

Can I still make a Book A Librarian appointment?

Yep! Fill out the form and you can meet with us over Zoom or in the GWC.

Are there still books in the Whitefield Center?

We have most reference titles and all course reserves available for you to use in the library. We also have a select choice of our 500 most popular titles for you to browse and checkout in the GWC.

Are there computers and printers available?

Yes, we have computers and printers for you to use when the library is open.

Are there study rooms available?

We are not able to offer private study rooms at this time. However, we do have individual study carrels and group tables for you to use.

Does this move affect the library's databases and eResources?

No! We still have all our databases, eBooks, and online resources. Please reach out to us if you have questions or need help accessing them. Email, Chat, or call (303-963-3250). We are here to help!
