Google Scholar
  • Search engine for scholarly literature in many subjects
  • Sources to academic publisher results

Pros

  • Does have access to many full-text articles
  • Great citation index of a majority of all published content
  • Friendly and familiar Google search system
  • Up-to-date content

Cons

  • Full-text is not always available
  • Mixes scholarly and non-scholarly results - which makes content evaluation more difficult

Recommended Use

  • Find citations of works and search on CCU's Library Website when full-text is unavailable on Google Scholar
